Simultaneous Determination of Acetaminophen, Caffeine and Acetylsalicylic Acid by Multiwavelength UV-spectrometric Method
A method of simultaneous determination of acetaminophen, caffeine and acetylsalicylic acid in industrial equipment cleaning rinse waters using the multiwavelength UV-spectrometry with the processing of spectra by the classical least squares method was proposed. The spectra were recorded at the wavelength interval from 200 to 300 nm in an aqueous solution without prior pH regulation. The calculation of the concentrations of the mixture components was performed using the linear algebra methods. The method allows the simultaneous determination of acetaminophen, caffeine and acetylsalicylic acid in a solution in the concentrations interval of 2–10 mg/l, does not require a lengthy sample preparation and the sophisticated equipment, and is suitable for the routine simultaneous determination of the three mixture components in the rinse waters from the industrial equipment cleaning.
